The Thrust 2 is a jet-powered land speed record vehicle featured in the Choro-Q series. It appeared in Choro-Q HG and Choro-Q HG 4.
Real life info[]
The Thrust 2 was designed by John Ackroyd and built in 1983, featuring a Rolls-Royce Avon 302 jet engine and a long body, with the engine centrally mounted, a cockpit with two separate windshields, and two large airplane-style rear wings.
On October 4, 1983, the Thrust 2, driven by Richard Noble, broke the world land speed record by reaching a speed of 650.88 mph in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada. The Thrust 2 held the record until 1997, when Richard Noble designed the ThrustSSC and broke not only the record but also broke the sound barrier with a speed of 763 mph. Both cars are currently on display at the Coventry Transport Museum in Coventry, England.
